How long have you been a Yaya fan?

I have been a Yaya fan since I first saw a preview of her before the show aired. From what I saw, Yaya appeared to be a well rounded person that ALL girls can relate to and look up to. Most of all she is proud of her heritage, and is trying to break barriers in the fashion industry.

Why are you a Yaya fan?

She is physically fit and very good for her first photo shoot. (Swimsuit) This is my MOST favorite picture of yaya. If I could, I would take one just like it. (Spider) Very creative and dynamic (Roller-skates)

Has she inspired you?

Yes

If yes, How did she inspire you?

She inspired me to hopefully one day get back into dancing. I love Yaya’s confidence the most and that she is a go-getter and she Does Not allow ANYONE to dictate how she should be. Yaya also lets all girls know that it is better to have brains with beauty. Lastly she went on the show as Yaya and she left the show Yaya.

if you had one thing to say to her, what would it be and why?

There are a lot of things I would like to say to Yaya, one might be that it was very terrible that someone such as Tyra would use someone like Yaya and ‘cast’ her as the ‘black girl with an attitude’ for ratings.

Here’s a picture of me. I am 22 yrs old, a senior in College majoring in History and a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. After my B.A., I will attend a good graduate school obtaining my degree in African Studies. I too have a background in dancing. I also play the piano and occasionally draw still- lifes and portraits.
